SAFE COMMUNITY

Community Guidelines

A supportive nanny community depends on honesty, privacy, respect, and looking out for one another.

Effective August 27, 2026

Protect children and families

  • Never post children’s names, faces, schools, schedules, medical details, addresses, or other identifying information.
  • Do not name or expose families, employers, agencies, or coworkers in Nanny Horror Stories.
  • Change nonessential details when sharing a story so people cannot be identified.

Treat members with respect

  • No bullying, harassment, threats, stalking, hate speech, or discrimination.
  • Disagree with ideas without attacking a person’s race, nationality, religion, disability, age, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, immigration status, or caregiving background.
  • Do not pressure anyone to reply, meet, share photos, or provide personal information.

Keep the community genuine

  • Use one authentic account and do not impersonate another person.
  • No scams, misleading offers, spam, pyramid schemes, or requests for money.
  • Do not copy private messages or member photos elsewhere without permission.

Use private messages safely

  • A message request is an invitation—not an obligation. Respect declines and unanswered requests.
  • Do not send sexual content, threats, repeated unwanted messages, or requests for financial information.
  • Block and report anyone who makes you uncomfortable. The other member is not notified when you report them.

Meet locally with care

  • Meet first in a busy public place during daylight hours.
  • Tell a trusted person where you are going and when you expect to return.
  • Use your own transportation and keep your exact home and work locations private.
  • Leave immediately if something feels wrong. Call 911 for an immediate danger.

Reporting and enforcement

Report content or behavior that may violate these guidelines. Reports should be truthful and made in good faith. Depending on severity and history, action may include a warning, content removal, feature restrictions, temporary suspension, permanent removal, or referral to appropriate authorities.

A final reminder

Anonymous spaces work only when privacy is taken seriously. Share your experience and support other nannies—but never at the expense of a child’s safety or another person’s dignity.
